Coup...Wow. Nice photos and description of Aspens.<br /><br />Couple or few years ago my wife and I went to Twin Lakes/Aspen/Leadville and hiked in the turning aspens. I've never cross-country skied, but I know exactly what you mean. Something about bare aspens in the snow.<br /><br />We found <a href="http://flipster.blogspot.com/2006/10/twin-lakes-willis-gulch.html" rel="nofollow"> some great groves around Twin Lake/Willis Gulch</a> and <a href="http://flipster.blogspot.com/2006/10/elbert-day.html" rel="nofollow">in that next valley to the south</a> (scroll about halfway down in that post after the Elbert stuff) ... where Vicksburg is. Wow.
